D S Simon’s Video Greeting Card – Holiday Donation

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

Some of our staff got together to put this video holiday greeting together. We hope it puts a smile on your face (at our expense or not).

In addition to this video, a donation has been made in the name of our clients and friends to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Newark, NJ.

About Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the premiere mentoring agency in the nation and it has many children waiting for a caring adult mentor.  That person could be you!  Just think, young people improving their self-esteem, saying ‘No’ to drugs and alcohol, improving their school attendance, getting along better with their families and peers -“ all because they had a Big Brother or Big Sister.

Best wishes for a healthy and happy new year from all of us at D S Simon Productions.

Interview with Jerry Griffin, Senior Account Supervisor, Edelman

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Jerry Griffin discusses the changing role for web video in the Corporate Communications world.

“Every new trend or tool in the communications world goes through a cycle. You start with a Eureka phase…When it comes to online video, I think we have just come through the Eureka phase. I think that the Eureka phase was accomplished by the youtube revolution. Everyone came to understand what online video was.”

“If you are running a corporate responsibility campaign, if you are running an issues management or crisis campaign, you have this overlay, this layer of video where it is supporting or supplementing more traditional media tactics. The agencies that are going to win are the ones that are proficient in how this powerful tool can drive a campaign.”

“There have been instances with a lot of small business that have begun to drive sales simply through the use of viral videos that are up on consumer sites.”
