Why Do Organizations Turn Down Good Free Publicity?

    You raise a great question. I think it might boil down to a lack of understanding. I work for a large university that is always cautious of the use of our name and facilities (who isn’t?). We tend to work with “traditional media” more often because there is some level of comfort. When an opportunity comes from “outta the blue,” I think many organizations have a real hard time figuring how it fits in their media plan or goals.
