		<description>I worry that in this brave new world of instant e-communication, we PR people are displaying a lack of facility with the English language. Audiences DO care about--and often are stopped in their tracks by ignorance of--correct word usage, grammar, spelling and the like. 

I&#039;ve heard a PR professional say, &quot;Don&#039;t worry about typos; people read right over them.&quot; Is this new world really THAT brave? Many people I know who are neither writers nor editors simply dismiss communications they receive with errors in basic English (including resumes!), and I think that as professionals whose No. 1 tool is language, we should, too.
