Harvery Greisman, Group Executive, Worldwide Communications for MasterCard Worldwide, discusses his CEO’s meeting with President Obama. Recorded at the IPREX Reputation Management Panel, hosted by Ken Makovsky, Founder and President of Makovsky and Co.
“[President Obama] did make it clear that he thinks it’s important to have a vibrant credit card industry, especially at a time when people are looking for credit…But he certainly wanted to steer clear of the so called abuses in the system…Congress is coming very close to passing a Cardholder Bill of Rights which we support and think is important…We just hope that in the emotion of the moment and there is plenty of emotion in these moments, that the government doesn’t go too far and take away all the important things that creditors need when they lend.”
