Doug Simon, President and CEO of D S Simon Productions, spoke with Alexandra Bruell, Consumer Reporter at PR Week, at Editor Showcase: Health & Nutrition in New York City on February 9th. Alexandra shares why health and nutrition are such hot topics today.

Some of Alexandra’s VlogViews:

“A lot of the companies here are smart. They’re here for a reason; they want to meet the editors. They’re here communicating nutritional messages. It’s the hottest thing right now, it’s all I hear about, I get so many pitches about health and nutrition right now.”

“It’s a great place for brand to be able to communicate what their benefits are. What will this product do for children, for moms? Why is it convenient? Although it’s convenient does that make it unhealthy? No, so there’s a lot of educational messaging.”

“Really innovative PR strategy and tactics, a lot of social media depending on the brand and what they’re trying to do. What I love to see and to hear is a pitch related to the brand’s overall business goals.”

PR Week will offer subscription refunds but will not lower its price.
